Dominus Real Estate

Dominus is building London faster than it can hire lawyers. So we didn't sell them a product. We came in, learned how their legal function actually runs, and built two of their busiest people a bespoke solution of their own — each one taking the whole job off the desk and handing back the outcome, not the paperwork.

Solution 01 — Pearl Kumar, General Counsel

Dominus owns the hotels it builds and runs them under Marriott and Hilton brands. As the owner, it has to clear every contract its hotel teams sign — so the assets stay clean enough to sell years down the line. All of it routed to Pearl Kumar, the General Counsel: chase the right person internally for commercial sign-off, review each contract against the Dominus playbook, send comments out, manage the back-and-forth with the other side. One person, in the path of everything.

We designed a different route. The hotel teams now send their contracts straight to Alaro. We find the right internal owner and confirm the commercials, check the document against Dominus's own playbook, and negotiate directly with the counterparty through to signature.

Pearl owns the playbook now — not the paperwork. She doesn't touch commercial contracts at all.

Solution 02 — Raj, new-site delivery

Raj is responsible for the professional appointments and collateral warranties behind Dominus's new schemes — high-volume, document-heavy work that moved slowly and gave him little visibility. Documents went out, came back days later, and the only way to know where anything stood was to ask. Raj was sending sixty emails a month just to chase status.

Alaro took the whole process. We draft, we negotiate directly with the other side, we execute at signature, and we run every downstream follow-up — collateral warranties included. And because Raj still needed to see it all, we built him a custom dashboard: every appointment, its live status, in one place.

Sixty status emails a month became a dashboard. Raj watches the work move; he no longer has to push it.

The shape of an Alaro engagement

Two people. Two completely different problems. Two solutions built from scratch. That is every engagement we run: we come in with an opinion on how the work should be done, learn how your legal function actually operates, and build the solution around it — a process, sometimes a product, always the outcome rather than the document. Because we work on a fixed fee, we are the only ones in the room paid to make the work more efficient, not less.

Dominus is growing fast, and legal capacity is hard to scale at the same pace. With Alaro they get a senior, professional outcome at a predictable, fixed cost — and the solution travels with the company as it grows. By May, twenty-seven people across the business were instructing Alaro directly, the CEO and CFO among them.

It's clear this is the start of something special.
